How We Started EMRG
PBIS Researcher + Award Winning Film-Maker
It all started when a researcher and a film-maker realized they were next-door neighbors.
True story, Dr. Terry Scott & Archie Borders met while taking a walk around their neighborhood one day in Louisville, Kentucky. They got to talking about where they live and what they do. Eventually, they came up an idea to pair Terry’s research background with Archie’s award-winning film expertise. And just like that, Educator’s Media Resource Group (EMRG) was born!
Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of traveling around the USA filming videos, attending conferences, facilitating on-site training sessions and meeting some of the best people around.

As a small business based in Louisville, Kentucky – we pride ourselves on being jacks of all trades. We are a group of researchers, educators, film-makers, lawyers, accountants, and marketers. Despite our different backgrounds, we are all kids at heart sharing a dream make the world a better place.

Dr. Terry Scott, Ph.D
Partner & PBIS Researcher
As an accomplished researcher specializing in behavior and emotion, Dr. Scott provides insight into PBIS practices and techniques. His research focuses on school-wide prevention systems, instructional variables in managing student behavior, and functional behavior assessment. Terry has over 100 publications, including 4 books about behavioral disorders and behavioral support systems. He has also been invited to speak at over 300 presentations & workshops throughout his career.

Archie Borders
Partner & Chief Creative Officer (CCO)
Archie is a Producer and Director with over 30 years experience in filmmaking and production. As a partner of EMRG, Archie provides production support including, location scouting, production management and coordination, and post-production supervision.

Erin Roark, J.D.
Partner & Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Erin is a practicing attorney with 20 experience in HR, employment law and business consulting. She provides legal and business guidance for EMRG including business & equity structure, financial offerings, production legal services, delivery compliance, artist development & more. She also provides all necessary production services, in coordinating custom video shoots.

Mike Fitzer
Partner & Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
Mike is a director of photographer, and editor with 25 years of experience in feature, commercial and documentary filmmaking. Mike captures & edits footage for all EMRG videos, including the Behavior on the Bus series and all Custom Videos . Mike is also a veteran of the US Army.

Kim Cox, CFA (Retired)
Partner & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Working in finance & investment firms for over 12 years, Kim is a number-cruncher and spreadsheet-master at heart. At EMRG, Kim has worked in client relations, budget planning & management, and account reconciliation. If it needs to be balanced, forecasted or itemized – Kim has you covered.
